She has also contributed in numerous facets as a music editor/critic and op-ed writer for 360nobs, Jaguda, Bellanaija, Olamildentertainment and the now-defunct Nigerianhiphop.net. Folashade received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women Studies from UCLA. In May 2017, she will receive her JD degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, with a focus on corporate and entertainment law.’
Why did I chose to start the podcast and why the focus on Nigerian music producers and songwriters: I love music and I love podcasts (I have been listening to podcasts for almost 8 years). Furthermore, as an A&R who loves the creative process of making music, I believe that it is important that we know about the unique, talented people behind the songs coming out of Nigeria (get to know about their creative process) and discuss the Nigerian music industry. Finally, I want to contribute my quota to the industry.
About the show: ‘The SNCShow is a fresh, fun weekly podcast featuring interviews with some of Nigeria’s unique, talented, budding and established music producers and songwriters. We discuss the creative process and the Nigerian music industry at large sprinkled with some insights from a legal and business perspective. The podcast is hosted by Folashade Anozie.’
