(POEM) Tribute To Our Beloved Daddy (Professor Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe)

A great soul is gone
A mighty tree has fallen
A source of inspiration to the meek
A great achiever
Listener to our hearts

A gem is gone
A chapter is forever closed
Our words cannot encompass the transition & lessons your life has introduced to our path
A paragon of excellence
A moral glory to be preached to generations yet unborn.

Death!
Why hath thou removed this candle off its stand
Why hath thou weaned us while we yet desire more qualitative nutrients
Why our school daddy?
Why him?
Why now?

Yet we would take succour in the fact that your legacy lives on in our hearts
Sleep on papa
Rest in the heart of glory enthroned in his majesty
Adieu baba shofy.
