About a month ago, word was out that Covenant University,Ota expelled 200 of its students for failing to attend ‘departure’ service, disobeying school code of conduct among other reasons.
The university however may have commuted the expulsion, following the intervention of the National Human Rights commission.
The university authorities were last week asked by the National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria to come forward with all records of the processes that led to the expulsion.
Sources in National Human Rights Commission reveal that the university authorities, which will be meeting with the Commission on Friday in Abuja, has denied expelling the students, saying they were just suspended.
