Paris Jackson has been hospitalised following an apparent suicide attempt during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The only daughter of late pop star Michael Jackson is currently in a Los Angeles hospital after paramedics were called to the Jackson family home in Calabasas, California, her grandfather’s publicist confirmed to the BBC.
The 15-year-old is said to have been taken from the property on a stretcher and transported to hospital in an ambulance.
The lawyer of Paris’ grandmother Katherine Jackson told the New York Daily News: “She’s suffered with the loss of her father. But we don’t know what she was exposed to that precipitated this.”
The teenager’s mother Debbie Rowe told Entertainment Tonight her daughter had self harmed by cutting her wrists and said she has had “a lot going on (lately)”.
On Tuesday night, Paris had posted some cryptic messages on her Twitter page.
Referencing The Beatles’ song Yesterday, she wrote: “Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”
She earlier tweeted: “I wonder why tears are salty?”
This month was set to be tough for Paris as the fourth anniversary of her father’s death comes on 25 June.
Paris’ injuries are not said to be life threatening, according to TMZ.
