On Saturday morning (June 15), Kim Kardashian reportedly gave birth to her first child, a baby girl with boyfriend Kanye West.
The baby wasn’t due for another five weeks, but rumors that Kardashian was ready to go into labor early started to swirl after West cancelled a promotional appearance for his forthcoming album, Yeezus, Friday night to be with his pregnant girlfriend who was feeling a “bit off.” TMZ reports West was in the delivery room at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the birth.
There had been no official confirmation of the arrival at press time, neither through the couple’s reps nor the stars’ social media channels.
The slightly early Father’s Day gift for West, 36, comes as the world waits for a special delivery of another kind, his Yeezus album which, although it leaked on Friday, is still widely regarded as the summer’s most anticipated album. Its official release is on Tuesday.
When MTV News spoke to Kim’s little sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner in May, they shared they weren’t quite ready to be aunts to Baby Kimye just yet. “I mean we’re all pretty excited. It still hasn’t hit me yet, so I don’t know,” Kendall said.
Kim’s previously stated that she won’t let cameras into the delivery room when she welcomes their baby into the world. “I’m going to keep that private,” she shared, noting that she’s likely to also take a little break from the spotlight as well. “I’m hoping to take some time off. And just focus on that and not really work as much for a little bit.”
Congrats to them famous couple!
