Recounting what happened, the suspect said, the victim was her lover. He had arrived her house on December 23, 2013 with a Sienna bus with number plate DV 815 AAA which she had earlier ordered in July 2012 with a part payment of N350,000. The deceased claimed the price of the car was N700,000 and demanded for the remaining N350,000 to seal the deal but she couldn’t afford that amount at the time and so she agreed to sell the car so that the proceeds would be used to offset the cost.
On 24th of December, they sold the car to one native doctor, Ituma Omokwu, who resides at Azuebonyi Echara, Ikwo Local Government Area. He bought the car at the cost of N750,000 with an instant payment of N700,000 cash, promising to pay the balance of N50,000 on December 30, 2013.
When they got home, Uzoamaka demanded her N350,000 but was given N300,00 instead as the deceased promised to give her the balance of N50,000 when next he visits on December 30. This resulted in a a fight as Uzoamaka was not happy with the development. She hit him at the back of his neck and he fell face down and died. She then dumped the corpse in a nearby refuse dump.
