They say ‘Failure in class is not failure in life’ BUT! In a situation where Verbal Abuse set in especially from those whom we Trust,Love and Depend on, the above quote is thereby considered useless. This Film shows the extent which the power of our tongue can make or destroy an individual.
Where Talent Lies is based on the story of a beautiful and Talented 21year old lady called Rachael who has been suffering verbal abuse from her biologicial father since age 6 due to her low academic performance. Little did Mr Abraham(Rachael’s father) know that his ‘False Discipline’ affected Rachael Psychologically thereby preventing her from being the World’s Famous Fashion Designer. Watch out this act made Mr Abraham loose his only child which led his marriage to crash.
Before going into Production,this Film Where Talent Lies was pitched at the International Short Film Festival and won an award for Best Film Pitch.
This Film was shot on locations in Lagos,Victoria Island,Palmgrove and Ogudu respectively. It also showcase the beauty of African culture.
This Film was Written,Produced and Executively produced by African Inspiring lady,Eva George. Directed by Oguike Ikenna. The cast are made up of talented,up and coming actors such as Abimbola Ademoye,Jennifer Igbinovia,Alex Ayalogu,Ada Lewis Egbosi,Naomi,Frank Paladini,Dorcas Paul and Fortune Nwaneri ‘Angel F’. It also features Temitayo,2nd Runner up West African Idol.
