Ebiloma Abdullahi was arraigned in November 2009 on a 7-count charge of impersonation, forgery and obtaining money by false pretence. The convict was, however, discharged and acquitted of five charges.

It has been established that in 2008, he paraded himself as a student of Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, and assumed the position of the National President of the National Association of Nigeria Student (NANS). The presiding judge found the accused guilty for forgery and obtaining money by false pretense, and
consequently sentenced Abdullahi to two and 10 years for each count respectively. The sentences are to run concurrently.
