When the song Amen premiered on so many blogs and sites as well as Tv and radio stations,the acceptance was massive and a lot of people never knew the song would not just trend but also make as much impact, to the extent it was nominated in the just concluded SSMA 2014.

The Sixth Annual South South Music Awards (SSMA) 2014 was held on the 7th of December 2014 at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Center in Benin city, Edo state.

It was a colourful event that celebrated talents from the South-south part of Nigeria and plays host to many talents from Nigeria and even the Diaspora, it was hosted by none other than Naeto C, with performances by Harrysong, YoYo, Big Clef, Tony Ross, etc.

The Best Gospel Artist was won by YoYo, she was nominated in 3 different categories and she didnt disappoint her fans in any way.

Among other winners of the night were

-Best New Artist – Cynthia Morgan

-Best Reggae Dance Hall – Timaya

-Best Collabo – Surulere Doctor Sid ft Don jazzy

-Best Musical Video – Orezi (Shoki)

-Best Producer – Wizzy Pro

-Best Non-Indigeneous Artist –    Phyno.

Yoyo, real names; Uyoyoghene Favour Mike, the daughter of renowned Bishop Mike Okpokpor, the presiding Bishop of Covenant Faith Proof Ministries,a.k.a City of Truth in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state .

She is an Accounting graduate of Benson Idahosa University (BIU), with gospel music as her passion, she is also a Music Director and Pastor at City of Truth.

With her new single already making trails of greatness its obvious we havent seen the best from the stable of this music wizkid,her new single titled “thank you”has been in demand from all and sundry.
