Genesis Lanre Lawanson, C.E.O. MADHOUSE, was born February 17,1995 in
Nigeria, hails from Oyo state.

He is a Photographer, Video director, Model, Script writer and Concept
developer. Presently studying Guidance & Counseling in Ekiti State
University, he was raised by a single mother and fondly says, “so I guess I
mostly see things from the female perspective”.
He started modeling in 2011 and has featured in a number of ads for
numerous brands including Nestle, Dangote, Hollandia, MTN, GLO, Etisalat,
Nokia, U.N to name a few. His passion for modeling and fashion birthed his
love for photography. He increased his knowledge about it during holidays
in Nairobi, Kenya and photography officially kicked off for him in March
2014 when soon after, channelled video direction.

His first take on video direction was in October 2014 for a
documentary/campaign for Nigeria’s top dance crew, DNMT, followed by
Headies’ Lyricist On The Roll nominee, Posly TD’s ‘Public Announcement’ in
November 2014 and thereafter got the huge opportunity of working with one
of Nigeria’s hit-makers, Wizkid, on the video for ‘Wonder’, from his
sophomore album, Ayo.

He loves writing and developing concepts. Could say he has been doing that
for the most part of his life as he is always quick to tell all,  “My
number one crush is my camera”.

MADHOUSE is a full entertainment body which provides services to and for
entertainment creatives.

  1. One of Nigerian fast rising music video director is director J. Whenever you see Director J on your TV screen, it’s an Joseph King popularly known as Director J-shot video.

In recent times he has directed quite a number of videos for Nigerian music superstars as IYO, harmonise and Diamond Plantinum. The most recent of Director J’s works is IYO’s ‘Nakupenda’ video that was shot in November 2017. The director chose an appropriate location for the video shoot and created great montages to portray the image of a luxurious life.
Director J-shot videos appear very simple and cost-efficient yet the content of songs are well-interpreted into good visuals. I strongly believe that soon his creativity will push the fast-rising director to a higher level.
