A truck driver has been arrested for allegedly crushing two pedestrians to death along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
Friday Egbe around 8pm on Thursday, February 5 lost control of truck and rammed into three men who were at a newspaper stand by the roadside.
Two of them reportedly died on the spot while the third person ended up with a broken Leg.
The driver was coming from Bolade, Oshode and heading towards Apapa, according to eye witness accounts, an angry mob pounced on the driver but was stopped by the Rapid Response Squad police who rescued him.
Friday Egbe, has been arrested for allegedly crushing two pedestrians to death in a fatal accident along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway area of the state.
Friday Egbe was afterwards handed to officers from Makinde Police Division, while his truck was reportedly towed away to the compound of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
The injured victim who has been identified as Nura Mohammed is currently receiving treatment.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the arrest and revealed that Friday Egbe would appear before a court on Tuesday 10th, 2015.
