Senior Staffs Of UNILAG Stage Protest Complaining About The School’s Refusal To Pay Allowances

The aggravated staffs poured out in numbers blocking the school gate and explaining to all that care to listen the situation with the authorities – their refusal to pay out allowances – after much subtle warning

“On August 15, 2013, the Federal Government asked what the problem was with allowances… that it has always being in a payroll asking it to be put in the payroll as part of budget and it will be paid. Since 2013, they’ve been receiving the money. Between July 2009 and December 2012, the accumulated amount was 92 billion; The Federal Government assisted with 30 billion… the portion of University of Lagos was 1.6 billion… we’ve been using all avenue to ask them to pay, but they’ll be using all sort of things to divide us.”

Those were the words of the spokesman who spoke with aggression
