NANYA is a peculiar singer-songwriter who makes music that conveys inside and out life significances, issues, and experiences. The Pop/Alternative artist initially showed up on our radar when she released a pidgin cover of Beyonce’s hymn “If I Were A Boy” then a subsequent track calling for peace in Africa, “No Hate” produced by Andre Vibez.
After experiencing several hiccups and difficulties amid her musical adventure, NANYA recently appeared on the first season of The Voice Nigeria’s Blind Auditions. Now, she has released her official first single “PLASTIC PEOPLE” produced by Lamp House’s L37. NANYA has bared her vocals to motion picture soundtracks for Uche Jombo Productions, she also featured on M.I’s “Chairman” album.
Chifumnanya Jessica Ijeh (NANYA) is an alum of Political Science from Babcock University. The Delta Nigeria native moved to Lagos in 2011 and juggled concentrating on Music Theory, Piano and Vocals at the Muson School of Music with earning an MSc in International Law and Diplomacy at the University of Lagos.
