Nollywood actress and producer, Omoni Oboli got what she did not bargain for last friday night, when the premiere of her much talked about movie ”Okafor’s law” was stopped following a court injunction.
Recall that sometimes in September last year, the actress was accused of copyright infringement by a Canada based Nigerian script writer, Jude Idada. But Oboli did not bother and went ahead to complete and even set dates for its premiere release and cinema release.
Oboli went emotional and broke down in tears when she came out to address the guest and insisted that the script was written 100% by her.
However, despite the hiccup, the party went as planned, and she and her guests had fun as if nothing happened. The premiere was graced by top Nollywood stars including, Ini Edo, IK Ogbonna, Uche Jombo, Chioma Chukwuka, Kemi Lala Akindoju amongst others.
