Recall the Nigerian fans had died when a transformer near the viewing centre where they were watching the match exploded causing a high tension wire to drop on the zinc of the building electrocuting them.

In a twitter post on Friday, the club said it would remember the dead fans when they host Swansea City at old Trafford this weekend.

“The #MUFC players will wear black armbands on Sunday in memory of the seven fans who lost their lives recently in Calabar, Nigeria”.
