A 100 level student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Ariyibi Ayomide, has reportedly committed suicide.
Ariyibi Ayomide who is a fresh student of the department of Employee Relations and Human Resources Management took her life because she was publicly shamed by her roommate.
Report says she was accused of taking makeup kits and clothes that was not her’s. Her roommates had then taken it up against her, calling her all sorts of names to shame her.
Some other residents of her hostel (Amina hostel) had reportedly joined in the shaming as she was led away by her mother who paid for things she allegedly took.
However, on getting home, she reportedly drank a bottle of Sniper insecticide and took her own life.
