Drake ties The Beatles as only artists to score 20 Top 10’s in a decade

Drake and The Beatles are now the only two artists to have 20+ Hot 100 top 10’s in a decade.

The release of the EP saw Drake surpass Lil Wayne and Jay-Z as the rapper to have the most number of top 10’s on the Billboard Hot 100. “God’s Plan” debuted at number one on the charts, as expected, while “Diplomatic Immunity” hit number 7.

Drake new songs “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity” has helped him chart as the only other artist other than the Beatles to chart 20 or more top 10 singles within a decade on the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard reports.

The rapper first made his appearance in the top 10 this decade with Thank Me Later single “Find Your Love” which peaked at number five. A few months later, he reached his first number one single as a featured artist with Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” However, he only made his way to the number one spot as the leading artist with 2016’s “One Dance,” which maintained its position on the chart for 10 weeks.

While Drake now has 20 top 10’s under his belt from his decade, he needs another 10 more within the next 2 years to reach Beatles status. The famed group hit 30 top 10’s within the 60’s. The only other person to come as close to Drake and The Beatles is Mariah Carey in the 90s with 19.
