Advocacy group, Everytown For Gun Safety may be teaming up with celebs to speak out on gun violence epidemic in the US. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Everytown For Gun Safety created anti-gun violence pins that celebrities will be wearing to the Academy Awards on Sunday.
One celebrity stylist says the pins were sent to major Hollywood agencies to give out on the red carpet. THR speculates that the pins will say #NeverAgain, which has become the slogan for the gun-control movement in the wake of the Parkland massacre this past Valentine’s Day.
Pins aren’t the only way celebs are showing their support for strong gun control. Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney , Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg, Steven Spielberg, and fashion house Gucci have each donated $500,000 to the “March For Our Lives” rally set to take place in Washington and around the country on March 24.
During the Golden Globes, many celebs wore Time’s Up pins to show support for women fighting sexual misconduct and sexism.
