Bill Cosby’s Wife Lashes Media, Says Husband Is Wrongfully Accused

Ditching her relatively silent reaction to the public backlash her husband has faced in recent times, Camille Cosby, has decided to speak in support of her husband of 54 years.

Bill Cosby's Wife lashes media

According to USA Today, Camille believes the media played a part in the conviction of her husband. In a three page statement acquired by Today, she compares Bill to Emmet Till and other black men who are wrongfully accused of sexually abusing white women, and claims that Andrea Constand (the victim whose case was used to convict Bill) was lying.

“I firmly believe (Constand’s) recent testimony during trial was perjured; as was shown at trial, it was unsupported by any evidence and riddled with innumerable, dishonest contradictions,” Camille stated. “Once again, an innocent person has been found guilty based on an unthinking, unquestioning, unconstitutional frenzy propagated by the media and allowed to play out in a supposed court of law.”

“This is mob justice, not real justice. This tragedy must be undone not just for Bill Cosby, but for the country,” she continued. Bill’s entire legacy is slowly being erased in response to the recent conviction.
The Cosby Show reruns have been pulled from the air, Temple University stripped him of his honorary degree, and several celebrities, including Gabrielle Union, have applauded his conviction.
