Serena Williams is out of the 2018 French Open after withdrawing from her fourth-round match against Maria Sharapova.
The 5-time champ has an arm injury and will play no further part at Roland Garros, forfeiting her place in Paris this year.
“Unforunately I have been having some problems with my pec muscles and it is getting worse. Right now I cannot physically serve, ” explained Serena in a press conference.
Sharapova faces the winner of the game between Garbine Muguruza & Lesia Tsurenko in the Quarters.
