Egyptian Commentator Dies Of A Heart Attack After Egypt Loss To Saudi Arabia

Shortly after watching Egypt crashed out of the World Cup following 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia on Monday, Egyptian longtime television commentator Abdel Rahim Mohamed  suffered cardiac arrest and died after being rushed to a hospital.

Mohamed, while watching the game in the studio in Cario was reported to have become increasingly emotional after Saudi Arabia scored a last-minute goal against Egypt.

When time came for Mohamed to deliver on-air analysis for the Nile Sports Channel after the match, he experienced a heart attack and was quickly taken to a medical center within the studio’s campus.

In a report by Egypt Today, it was confirmed that Mohamed was taken to hospital by his son after the defeat where he was pronounced dead.
