After what seems like an eternity, Power returns to our lives this Sunday (July 1).
Starring Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora, Naturi Naughton and Joseph Sikora, fans are able to keep up with the saga of Ghost, Tommy and their experiences with the drug trade.
Fans have already prepared themselves for Raina’s funeral, but to get fans anticipation levels higher for the return 50 Cent took to Twitter and dropped off an exclusive clip.
In the clip, Ghost’s wife Tasha is questioning their son Tariq on what led to the killing of his sister before Ghost takes over and his rage sparks through due to his son not cooperating. The scene ends with “you going to answer these questions,” a sentiment that many fans will have entering this fifth season. At the end of season four, fans were left wondering what will be the fate of new enemy Dre along with how the newly reformed partnership of Ghost, Tommy and Kanan will function.

This past week Naughton and Sikora visited The Breakfast Club where they shared with Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God that Power has already been renewed for a season six. They also spoke to the future of the show where 50 Cent stated his prediction that the show would last for a total of seven seasons. If the show continues to get the support that it has for the past few summers, 50’s prediction may be wrong and some more time with our favorite guys of crime will be in need.
To celebrate the premiere the entire cast was on hand at Radio City Music Hall in New York City Thursday (June 28) to celebrate. For those in attendance, they received a surprise as star 50 Cent performed the theme song that everyone loves, “Big Rich Town,” with a choir and full orchestra.
After a photo opp with the entire cast posing 50 emerged from the floor and was flanked by a choir in all white robes to perform the popular single. The fresh take on the single was a unique way to hear the intro and 50 even provided the full version moving into the second verse of the track before leading a sing-a-long. View it in full below.
