The heartbroken boyfriend of Love Island star Sophie Gradon has been found dead earlier today just weeks after Sophie’s passing.

Aaron Armstrong, 25, died in Blyth, Northumbria, just hours after posting an emotional final Instagram tribute to Sophie, whose funeral was on Friday.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “At around 12.20pm on July 10 police received a report from the ambulance service that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth.

“There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”

A family friend who didn’t want to be named told The Sun Online: “We’re absolutely gutted. Heartbroken.”

Aaron was found just hours after posting a tribute on Instagram to his partner, Sophie.

He wrote next to a picture of her: “just wish I could cuddle you all day.”
“[I] miss you so much man Sophie not a minute goes by with out your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing I need them days back. I love you princess”

Friends and family paid tribute to Aaron on social media, with one writing: “Hope you’re at peace now Aaron, my heart goes out to your family”.

Sophie, who appeared on Love Island alongside Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, died at her parents’ home on June 22.

As news of her death emerged, Aaron posted a picture of the pair and wrote: “I will never forget that smile. I love you so so much baby, you’re my world forever and always.”

And his tributes to Sophie have continued ever since she passed away.

On June 25, he wrote a heart-wrenching post which read: “Sophie you are the most beautiful human being iv ever seen in side and out I miss you so much I can not even put in to words you are my angel my soul mate my one and only I devote my heart to you I am yours you are myn I know you are by my side every day I love you baby and you are the brightest star in the sky we will be together again soon”.

One friend told The Sun last month: “We all thought Sophie was the happiest she had ever been.

“She had suffered from depression and anxiety and there was talk of financial issues which obviously adds to the worry she was enduring.

“Her friends thought she was in a great place as she was madly in love with her boyfriend and life was good.”
