Cardi B has pulled out of a tour with Bruno Mars, saying she is not ready to leave her new baby.
The 25-year-old rapper was due to appear alongside Mars as a special guest on the last leg of his 24K Magic Tour, which kicks off in September.
She gave birth to her first child, Kulture, earlier this month.
In an Instagram post, Cardi B told fans that despite initially thinking six weeks was enough time to recover, she now realised she needed more time with her baby.
She wrote: “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically.
“I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.
“Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind as it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”
In response, Mars offered a message of support, writing: “The most important thing is you and your family’s health.”
The singer and songwriter also said he will play Bodak Yellow – Cardi B’s break out hit – in honour of her during each of his 24 performances across North America.
He added: “Please give your baby girl a hug from me and a hug on behalf of everyone on The 24k Magic Tour.”
Cardi B collaborated with Mars on his album track Finesse, performing with him earlier this year at the Grammy Awards.
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, married Migos rapper Offset in a secret ceremony in September last year.
They publicly announced their marriage two months later at the BET Awards, when Offset called the New York rapper his “wife” during an acceptance speech.
Offset, 26, whose real name is Kiari Cephus Migos, has three children from previous relationships.
