Drake’s been killing the charts this year. With the exception of “I’m Upset,” every other single he’s released topped the Billboard. So it wasn’t shocking in any way that his album, Scorpion debuted at the top of the chart. Now, Drake is now expected to hold the top spot, once again, for a fifth week in a row.
Drake’s Scorpion hasn’t budged from the top of the Billboard 200 since its debut at the top of July. As we approach a new chart week, Drake is expected to maintain the top position on the Billboard 200.
The only person who would be competing against Drake is country star Kenny Chesney who recently released an album.
Despite his massive fan base, Drake’s following is simply much stronger. Kenny’s expected to move 65K equivalent album units and debut at number two while Drake’s Scorpion is expected to move 150K equivalent album units.
If Scorpion scores the top spot once again, it’ll be the first album since The Weeknd’s Starboy to hold on to the top spot for five consecutive weeks in a row.
