Fans of J. Cole are well aware that the Dreamville/Roc Nation artist finds it hard to stay away from dropping verses and freestyles in between albums. Prior to the release of his fourth album For Your Eyes Only Cole dropped two freestyles “False Prophets” and “Everybody Dies” the former of which was targeted in part at Kanye West.
J. Cole dropped his drug epidemic inspired album on April 20 and has been enjoying the fruits of his labor ever since. In May, KOD was certified Gold by the RIAA and broke streaming records on both Spotify and Apple Music.
Cole’s KOD tourkicks off this Thursday at American Airlines Arena in Miami. Cole revealed that he was adding Jaden Smith to his tour along with Young Thug who Cole had previously announced would be hitting the road with him.
In an interview with Angie Martinez, Cole revealed that he is already working on the next album, but with the North Carolina rapper currently touring and having released his album so recently, fans will likely have a while before the next full release.
