Koh has officially been convicted of murder today.

The 24-year-old Koh found himself in a rivalry with Uzoka after becoming obsessed with his colleague’s success.

The pair engaged in online quarrels through social media in the months leading up to Uzoka’s murder in January. Koh is said to have been a “copycat”, envious of Uzoka’s style to the point of trying to schmooze his friends.
Uzoka had addressed Koh in a direct message:

“Leave my name out of your mouth, it’s that simple. I’ve never spoken bad of you in any way, so this is wild.” Their rivalry peaked when Koh started claiming he had slept with Uzoka’s model girlfriend, Ruby Campbell.

The successful model agreed to meet Koh outside of his London home. Both men brought back up as well as weapons. Uzoka wielded a dumbbell while Koh carried knifed in each of his hands.

Some say that Uzoka fell on one of the knives, effectively stabbing himself, while others insist the wound was inflicted by Koh with a clear intention. Uzoka died on the sidewalk in front of his home.

Harry Uzoka was referred to as “the country’s most famous black model” in the English courtroom.

Koh is said to have believed he was on the same professional level, according to the case’s prosecutor.

“He even suggested to one witness that they were on a similar level in the modeling world. And that was not true. Whatever was going in Koh’s mind … was festering into an unhealthy and toxic mix.’’

George Koh’s sentencing is set for September 21.
