Woman beheads husband

Harriet killed her husband at about 5 a.m on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at their home in Gombe Division Wakiso District, Uganda. After killing him, she dug a 3-feet grave to bury his body in their bedroom.

On realizing the complexity of her gruesome action she decided to flee her home. Her terrified 13 year old child decided to alert the neighbours, narrated what had transpired thus immediately calling for police intervention.

The couple’s daughter, alleged that her mom had always threatened to kill her husband whenever they had misunderstandings.

“They had an argument over a piece of land prompting Nassali to pick a machete and cut Kavuma’s head, killing him instantly,” Luke Owoyesigyire, Kampala Metropolitan Area police spokesperson disclosed the incident to newsmen.

One of the children also gave information about a male friend, who had grown so close to their mother days before their father was hacked to death. The male friend identified as Alex Kamusangi then led a group of investigating officers to Nassali’s hideout and both were arrested.

Further inquiries reveal that the deceased and his wife previously had misunderstandings, as a result of a land procurement deal gone bad resulting in their separation. Close family friends also revealed the bitter history of how the deceased had given his wife 27 million Ugandan Shillings to buy a plot of land, however, she used the money for something else.

The deceased’s body has since been transported to the mortuary for postmortem and the two suspects detained at Mattuga Police Station.
