Bello competed in the men ’s singles Class 5 where he also failed to qualify from the group stages after losing three matches and Alabi competed in the men ’s singles Class 10 where he finished eighth after losing out in the quarter-finals.

Team coach Olufemi Odebode said the players gave their best in China.
“I commend Agunbiade because he put up a fantastic performance, he tried his best to win but unfortunately he was unlucky,” the coach said.

“The players gave their best and I am happy that they would have learnt some things at the competition. They need more exposure of this nature for them to be at their best.”

Nigeria participated only in the singles and not in the team events.
