An unknown number of gunmen who are suspected to be terrorists have unleashed a series of gunfire and explosives that has left at least 14 people dead at a hotel complex in Nairobi, Kenya.
Latest reports indicate that Al-Shabaab, a Somali Islamist terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Eyewitnesses say the attack started with car bombings inside the premises of Dusit complex in the upscale neigbourhood of Nairobi.
The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, told reporters on Wednesday morning that the attack was over and that all the terrorists involved have been eliminated.
This makes it yet another major attack in Nairobi by Al-Shabaab after it launched the previous one at Westgate mall where 67 people were killed in 2013.
