The Archbishop of Colombo in Sri Lanka has announced that Sunday Masses have been cancelled until further notice. This is coming after the Easter bombings in the country.
The annpuncement was made at a need need conference on Friday by Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith who expressed fears over concerns about possible further attacks.
He also appealed for financial support to help the victims of the terror attack and to reconstruct the churches targeted.
St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Negombo , north of Colombo Sri Lanka, was one of the churches targeted by the terrorists.
Over 250 people were killed in suicide bombings carried out by The Islamic State on Easter Sunday. About 75 people have been so far arrested with officials still searching for more suspects.
