FG Orders The Release of Sowore, Dasuki

The Federal Government has ordered the release of the #RevolutionNow protest convener, Mr Omoyele Sowore and former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki from custody.

While the order was made 18 days after Sowore was rearrested at the Federal High Court, Abuja, by operatives of Department of State Services, Dasuki has been in the DSS custody since December 2015 for allegedly stealing $2.1bn and accused of awarding phantom contracts to buy 12 helicopters, four fighter jets, and ammunition meant for Nigeria’s military campaign against Boko Haram Islamist militants.

Nigeria’s Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) said that the Buhari regime had decided to obey the court orders granting bail to the two men.
