The oldest surviving soldier in the Nigerian Army, Pa Adama Aduku is dead.
Pa Adama Aduku who experienced the World war II and is also known to be the oldest surviving soldier in the Nigerian Army died on Tuesday at age 101.
The news of his death was announced by the Nigerian Army via their official Twitter page (@HQNigerianArmy) on Wednesday, December 2nd.

According to the tweet made by the Nigerian Army, his death was announced by one of his relations on the Whatsapp platform of the Director Defence Information Defence Headquarters news platform early this morning.
Pa Aduku was born in the year 1918, to a peasant farmer at Abejukolo-Ife, at Omaha Local Government Area of Kogi State, Aduku joined the army in 1945.
On December 31, 2018, Aduku was honoured by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo with an award of excellence given to him by the Nigerian Army.
