American R&B singer R. Kelly has gotten a taste of jailhouse justice as he was alleged to have been attacked by another inmate inside Chicago prison.
TMZ reports that the disgraced singer was sitting on his bed when another inmate walked in his cell and started punching him.
The incident is said to have occurred inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago, where the 53-year-old is being held after pleading not guilty to series of state and federal sexual assault charges.
According to the report, the inmate was allegedly upset about the detention facility being placed on lock down a couple of times largely because of protests held by R.Kelly’s supporters outside of the jail.
Following the beating, the singer was examined by a doctor, and although shaken up, was able to avoid any serious injury.
The singer is said to be doing fine as he didn’t suffer any broken bones or serious injuries after he was examined by a doctor.
