NLC To Embark On A Nationwide Protest Over Fuel, Electricity Tariff Hike

Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has finalised its decision to stage a nationwide protest on September 28 over increase in the prices of petrol and electricity tariff.

The Federal Government had recently hike the prices of fuel to N160 per litre and had also hiked electricity tariff by over 100 percent.

National Executive Council of the organisation reached the conclusion at the end of a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday afternoon.

According to NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, the decision to proceed with the planned industrial action was unanimously taken by leaders of the union across the 36 states and FCT in the country.
