A former lecturer of Kaduna Polytechnic, KADPOLY, Dr. Austin Umera, has killed himself at his residence at Kigo road in Kaduna.
Dr. Maurin Umera who is currently a part-time lecturer at the Department of Languages Kaduna State University (KASU) reportedly shot his wife before committing suicide.
It was gathered that his wife is currently receiving treatment at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna. The incident occurred on Wednesday November 18 by 10pm, and it was gathered that the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Barau Dikko mortuary.
Kaduna police spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Jalige confirmed the incident and also said investigation is on going.
