NLC And TUC Members Embark On Nationwide Protest

Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and te Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Wednesday, have on a nationwide protest.


The protest is over the alleged attempts by some elements at the National Assembly to remove the Minimum Wage from the Exclusive Legislative List to the Concurrent Legislative List.

NLC had released a statement on Tuesday stating that the mobilization will start from the Unity Fountain Abuja at 7:30 am to the National Assembly complex.

The workers who are currently protesting in different states in the country, held up placards that read “On National Minimum Wage We Stand” , No To Minimum Wage on Concurrent List, “Yes To Minimum Wage on Exclusive List”.
