FG Reintroduces COVID-19 Restrictions, Shuts Night Clubs, Limits Public Gathering Until Further Notice

The Federal Government has reintroduced COVID-19 restrictions across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to curtail further spread of the disease.

This new directive is to take effect by midnight of Tuesday, from 12 a.m to 4 a.m.

The National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed, made this known during the Presidential briefing in Abuja on Monday.

With this reintroduction, night clubs, gyms and others would remain closed till further notice.

Mohammed noted that gatherings of religious groups and weddings have been reduced to 50 percent attendance and also declared that official engagements, meetings and conferences should continue to hold virtually.
